| Begreppet Systemsäkerhet På samma sätt som begreppet risk, har också begreppet säkerhet, många betydelser och kan därför lätt misstolkas. Säkerhet ses ofta som frånvaron av risk.Risk ses ofta som en fara och den konsekvens som faran är kopplad till. Om man försöker uttrycka risken i siffror, så blir det viktigt att precisera risken – ge den ett sannolikhetsvärde. Även konsekvensen kan ofta kvantifieras. Det mest effektiv sättet att minska negativa konsekvenser i form av skada och olyckor på människa, utrustning och miljö, är att redan vid design av ett system eller verksamhet identifiera risker. Systemsäkerhetsarbetet innebär att med stöd av olika kompetenser och systematiska metoder, identifiera, värdera, reducera riskerna och begränsa eventuella konsekvenser och därmed uppnå säkerhet i olika typer av system. |
System Safety The term Safety has, in the same way as the term risk, many different meanings and can easily be misinterpreted. Many people view Safety as the absence of risk. Risk is seen as a hazard and the consequence associated with the hazard. If you try to quantify the risk then you need to consider not only the consequence but also the likelihood that the hazard will occur. The most efficient way of mitigating death and injuries to people and damage to property and the environment is to identify risks when a system or process is designed.The system safety concept is the application of special technical and managerial skills to the systematic, identification, assessment and elimination or control of hazards throughout the life-cycle of a system. |
